Details

Coffee table of the Mesh collection. Painted aluminium frame, top in Teak, glaze, marble or aluminium. A collection combines natural and industrial materials, hard and soft surfaces, as well as transparent and opaque appearances. The expanded metal used is reminiscent of building facades that let in light and air.

Technical information:

GLAZE:  It is a painting finish developed and used exclusively by KETTAL. The concept is to apply a finishing which visually looks as ceramics, but with a strong technical
development that allows to apply it on aluminium top tables. This allow us to have the warm feeling of ceramics with the durability and quality of aluminium coatings.

Patricia Urquiola

Patricia Urquiola was born in Oviedo, Spain, but lives and works in Milan for more than twenty years. He studied architecture at the Politecnico di Madrid and at the Politecnico di Milano where he graduated in 1989 with Achille Castiglioni. During the early years of his career, he was assistant lecturer for Achille Castiglioni, collaborated with Vico Magistretti and was responsible for Design for Lissoni Associati. In 2001, he opened his studio working in the fields of product design, interior and architecture. Among its most recent projects: the Jewel of Vicenza Museum, the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Barcelona, ​​the Hotel Das Stue in Berlin, the Four Seasons Spa in Milan; Gianvito Rossi, BMW, Flos, Missoni, Moroso, Panerai Offices, H & M, Santoni, Pitti Uomo, Florence. Some of its products are exhibited in major art and design museums. The designer has won several international awards including: Medalla de Oro at the Mérito en las Bellas Artes of the Spanish Government, the Order of Isabella Cattolica, delivered by His Majesty the King of Spain Juan Carlos I, "Designer of the Decade "For Home and Häuser magazines," Designer of the Year "for Wallpaper magazines, AD Spain, Elle Decor International and Architektur und Wohnen.
