Jean-Marie Massaud’s “MISSED-TREE” has breathed life into a phantom forest by imagining striking environments that evoke techno-ethnic shapes and give indoor plants the status of a tree.

Frame in LLDPE (linear low-density polyethylene) achieved by rotational moulding. UV protection. 100% recyclable, solution dyed. High degree of mechanical strenght and resistance to impacts.

Jean-Marie Massaud

Born in Toulouse in 1966, Jean Marie Massaud graduated in 1990 at Les Atelier, Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Création Industrielle in Paris. He began his professional career between Asia and France, opening his own studio in 1994 in Paris Since then, he has been devoting himself to industrial design and furniture design by introducing a number of important relationships with companies such as Authentics, Baccarat and Magis. His collaboration with Marc Berthier and his work in urban design has set him up for a merger Design and architecture, is involved in design in various fields, from industrial products to furniture, and its contextual approach focuses on the search for the essential, in which the individual remains the focus of attention, Senses, magic and vital emotion that lead him to have as partners many different companies, such as Cassina, Poltrona Frau, C Appellines, Cacharel, Lancôme, Tronconi and Yamaha offshore.
His works have been awarded numerous prizes and many of his products are now part of the design collections of some of the world's largest museums: from Amsterdam to Chicago, London, Paris and Zurich: from the permanent collection of the Musée National d ' Modern Art of Paris at the permanent offices of the Museum für Gestaltung in Zurich, the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design, the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, of the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris.
