Jean-Marie Massaud

Born in Toulouse in 1966, Jean Marie Massaud graduated in 1990 from Les Atelier, Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Création Industrielle in Paris. He began his professional career between Asia and France, opening his own studio in 1994 in Paris. Since then it has been consecrated to industrial design and furniture design, weaving a series of important relationships with companies such as Authentics, Baccarat and Magis. His collaboration with Marc Berthier and his work in urban planning have predisposed him towards a fusion of design and architecture. He deals with design in various fields, from industrial products to furniture. His contextual approach focuses on the search for the essential, in which the individual remains at the center of attention, a work supported by the search for the senses, the magic and the vital emotion that lead him to have as partners. different from each other, such as Cassina, Poltrona Frau, Cappellini, Cacharel, Lancôme, Tronconi and Yamaha offshore.
Numerous prizes have been awarded to his works and many of the products he designed are now part of the design collections of some of the world's major museums: from Amsterdam to Chicago, London, Paris and Zurich: from the permanent collection of the National Museum Art Moderne in Paris to the permanents of the Museum für Gestaltung in Zurich, the Chicago Athenaeum-Museum of Architecture and Design, the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam, the Musée des arts Décoratifs in Paris.
